Neil Wooton thought that he’d never see his wedding ring again after losing it whilst recycling bottles at Longley Lane Recycling Centre. The ring slipped off of his finger and into the bottle container.
It was a kind-hearted member of staff, Lee Booth who was working at the Wythenshawe Centre that came to Neil’s rescue and arranged for the contents of the container to be tipped out and searched.
At first the ring remained elusive, but the determined Booth checked again and found the precious jewellery at the bottom. Lee said: “ I was very happy that I was able to help find Neil’s ring. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but I knew it was important that we try.”
