The Energy from Waste conference lands at the NEC in Birmingham next week (25-26 February 2015) and is expected to bring together over 200 senior level attendees from the waste to energy industries. To discuss the amount of waste exported to europe which is then used as RDF (refuse derived fuel). This is extremely relevant for waste management companies and effects their waste disposal options within the UK.
2014 saw industry leaders from 20 countries gather at the international conference in Birmingham, and this year’s Energy from Waste conference is looking to be bigger still; with decision makers from the waste management, energy generation, finance, investment, engineering and project and technology development areas all expected to attend.
We have a strong presence in birmingham offering refuse collection services across the West Midlands so was completly on our Birmingham radar!
Herman Huisman, senior advisor and coordinator of international projects at RWS Environment’s waste management department, is on the list of top speakers at the conference.
Attendees will have an opportunity to listen and participate in discussion and debate about the role reusing waste for energy recovery can have in managing waste and preventing waste to landfill, with the biggest leaders driving forward change in the industry. It’s great to see such promising progress by the waste to energy industry in finding long term, sustainable solutions to waste management!
