707 go more than the extra mile to raise money for charity

Otley based national resource management company 707, collectively cycled 549km, the equivalent of the Grand Depart, on Thursday 5th June (World Environment Day) to raise money for The World Wildlife Fund UK and The Marie Curie Charity.

The cycle4recycle challenge took place at the company’s headquarters at Wharfebank Business Centre situated on the Grand Depart route, and on stationary gym bikes, the challenge was completed by 5pm.
The riders were all members of the 707 team who also had a helping hand from Team Sky rider Josh Edmondson.

The day was a great success, attracting many businesses connected to the company across the UK. Guests enjoyed a barbeque and drinks laid on by local restaurant Buon Apps. Over £1000 was raised on the day, and money is still coming in of their just giving fundraising page –

707, who operate cost effective waste management were delighted with the result. The Managing Director, David Adams, said: “We were overwhelmed by the support we were given by everyone. It was a fantastic way to raise money and also give kick off the countdown to the Grand Depart on July 5th.

“With keen cyclists in our offices, Josh Edmondson not only helped the team in their last few miles but he also motivated and inspired them to achieve it in such a good time.”

With the goal of becoming the most ethical, environmental and customer-focused business in the UK, 707 Resource Management work as a partnership with companies to reduce costs through encouraging recycling, waste minimisation and transport efficiency.
